Asian Sesame Seed Dressing

This Asian sesame seed dressing is perfect for a salad dressing and also makes a nice marinade for any protein.

The dressing could not be easier to prepare. Everything is made in a Mason jar, and the dressing is ready in a flash.

The highlights of the flavors are fresh garlic and ginger, and both toasted sesame seeds and poppy seeds.

Honey adds some sweetness, and rice vinegar gives it a nice tangy taste. Keep reading for the easy recipe.

Ingredients for Asian Sesame seed dressing

You’ll need the following ingredients to make this easy recipe:

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon of finely grated fresh ginger
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1½ tablespoons of brown sugar replacement
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce
  • ¼ cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of Himalayan pink sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of finely ground black pepper

Making the easy Asian sesame seed dressing

Place everything into a Mason jar with a lid and handle.

Put everything into a jar

This jar has a wide mouth for adding the ingredients, and the handle makes it easy to mix everything. It also acts as a storage container, since it has a lid.

Give the jar a shake for about 30 seconds, and you are done. It’s that easy!

Shake well and you have an Asian Sesame seed dressing

This dressing is perfect on a salad with fruit.  The dressing gave the salad a distinct Asian feel.

To lighten the dressing, instead of using oil, the volume comes from rice vinegar and water.

In place of sugar, a brown sugar replacement gives the same flavor. Add all those other flavorful ingredients together, and you have a light dressing made in full flavor heaven!

This easy salad dressing is made in one jar in just minutes. It gives a great Asian feel to any salad and can also be used to marinate protein.

Ingredients
