How to make this stovetop granola recipe

Start by heating the oil in a pan on the stove over medium high heat. Then add the rolled oats and cook until they start to brown, while stirring often, about 5 minutes.

Remove the oats from the heat and transfer to a cookie sheet to allow to cool.

In the same pan you used for the oats, melt the butter. Add in the honey and brown sugar and cook until the mixture is bubbly, stirring constantly.

Add the cooled oats back into the pan, and allow everything to cook for 5 more minutes.

Transfer the mixture back onto the cookie sheet and allow it to fully cool. Once it’s cool, transfer it to an airtight container.

At this point you can add the almonds and dried cranberries. You can make this with any dried fruit that you prefer and use your favorite nuts too. All work very well.

Store in an airtight container and serve with yogurt and fresh fruit for a tasty alternative to store bought granola.
