Ingredients for these Asian-style meatballs

To make these saucy sesame meatballs, you’ll need the following ingredients: 

For the meatballs

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger (about 1 – 1 ½ inch piece)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • ½ cup thinly sliced green onions

For the sauce

  • ⅔ cup hoisin garlic sauce
  • 1 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of lite soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

How to make these saucy sesame meatballs

One of the best things about this Asian meatball recipe is how easy it is to make! Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). 

Mix together all of the meatball ingredients in a large bowl. Using clean hands, shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.

Place them on a baking sheet lined with a silicone baking mat and bake for 10-12 minutes. You’ll know that the meatballs are done when they are no longer pink inside.

To make the sauce, combine all of the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Pour over the warm meatballs and gently stir until the meatballs are coated with the sauce.

The meatballs have a delightfully flavorful taste and the sauce gives them an extra boost. Just skewer them for easy serving. Your guests will think you spent all day making them.
