How to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit

To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit manually you’d need to follow the equation: (°C × 9 ÷ 5) + 32 = °F.

  • Multiply the degrees Celsius by 9
  • Divide that number by 5
  • Add 32 to that number

For example, let’s convert 177° Celsius to Fahrenheit. When you fill in the formula you get (177°C × 9 ÷ 5) + 32 = 350.6°F. This number would round down to 350°F, which is how you would set your oven!

How to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius

To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius manually you’d need to follow the equation (°F – 32) × 5 ÷ 9 = °C.
