The recipe has a rich chocolate base made from peanut butter and chocolate morsels, combined with a Devil’s food Cake mix. 

It is fairly easy to do and rich and delicious. Definitely for serious chocolate lovers!

These peanut butter chocolate bars are truly a “death by chocolate” dessert.

Cook Time 35 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 1¼ cups smooth peanut butter
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs

For the filling:

  • 2 cups (12 ounces) peanut butter and chocolate chips
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F
  2. Using a food processor, combine the cake mix, peanut butter, butter, and eggs. The batter will be thick.
  3. Set aside about 1 & ½ cups of the crust mixture.
  4. Press the remaining crust mixture into bottom and partially up the sides of an un-greased 9″x 13″ baking pan.
  5. To make the filling, place the peanut butter/chocolate chips and condensed milk in a microwave-safe bowl.
  6. Heat for 1 minute.
  7. Remove and stir the mixture until the peanut butter/chocolate chips melt and mixture is smooth.
  8. Stir in the vanilla extract
  9. Pour the filling over the crust in the pan and spread evenly.
  10. Crumble reserved crust mixture over top of filling. Be sure it covers the top evenly It does not matter if there are small areas that are not covered.
  11. Bake fpr 30-35 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  12. Cool completely in the pan before serving.
