This recipe gives a great tasting cookie and is very easy to make. 

Just combine the dry goods in one bowl and whisk. 

Mix the sugars, butter, milk, and vanilla in a separate bowl. and then add the dry ingredients and bake.

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies

Chocolate chip peanut butter cookies and a tall glass of milk. What better way is there to have a taste treat break in the middle of the afternoon?

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (about 12 ounces) semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda until is is well mixed. Set aside.
  3. Combine the butter and peanut butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar; beat on medium speed until this is light and fluffy.
  4. Reduce speed to low and add the salt, vanilla, and eggs. Beat until well mixed, about 1 minute.
  5. Add flour mixture; a bit at a time, and beat until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips by hand.
  7. Drop heaping tablespoons of the dough about 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake until cookies are golden around the edges, but still soft in the center, 8 to 10 minutes. Don't over cook or the cookies will be dry.
  9. Remove from oven, and let cool on baking sheet 1 to 2 minutes.
  10. Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely.
  11. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week.
