I have to admit it.  I am not much of a fish person.  I’ve tried almost every variety and just don’t find them that appealing.  My exceptions are salmon, swordfish and any fish that is freshly caught. (then I love it!)

This recipe for grilled salmon is easy to do, has a nice boost from the soy sauce and spices and tastes delicious.  It is great for a busy week night. 

It is a very flexible recipe. The salmon can be baked, pan fried or cooked on a barbecue after marinating.

Serve with a broccoli florets for a tasty, and easy main meal.

Easy Baked Salmon Recipe

Easy Baked Salmon Recipe
This easy baked salmon recipe is ready in just 30 minutes and has a lovely marinade of soy sauce, garlic, cumin and paprika.
Cook Time 30 minutes
Additional Time 2 hours
Total Time 2 hours 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Salmon fillets
  • 1 1/2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Kosher Salt and cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Combine the soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic and spices in a bowl. Mix well and spread on the salmon fillets. Marinate the salmon for 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350º F. Bake the salmon for 30 minutes in a 350 º F oven.
  • Note: The salmon can also be cooked in a skillet on the stove top for about 4 minutes each side, or grilled on the barbeque.
